Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Very Ghood website and your purchase of food, beverages, and catering services provided by Very Ghood ("we," "us," or "our"), operating under the concept Dinner with Chef Rose, based in Kansas City, Missouri. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Offered

We offer two categories of service:

• Everyday Menu Orders: Individual food items available for pickup on designated service days. Items, sides, and availability are updated regularly and subject to change without notice.
• Private Catering: Custom event catering services booked in advance, subject to a non-refundable deposit and a separate catering agreement.

2. Ordering & Payment

Menu Orders

By submitting a menu order you agree to pay the listed price for all items in your cart. Payment may be made online via Stripe or in cash at the time of pickup, as selected during checkout.

• Online payment: Your card is charged at the time of order submission. All transactions are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. and are subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.
• Cash at pickup: If you select "Cash at Pickup," payment in full is due when you collect your order. Failure to pay at pickup may result in your order being forfeited and being declined for future orders.

Add-Ons

Extra sides and additional protein portions are available for an additional charge displayed at the time of ordering. These charges are added to your order total and are non-refundable once the order is prepared.

3. Catering Deposit & Booking

• A $250 deposit is required at the time of catering inquiry submission to hold your event date. This deposit is charged immediately via Stripe.
• The deposit is applied toward your total catering balance due at or before the event.
• The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel fewer than 14 days before your event date. If you cancel 14 or more days in advance, we will issue a deposit credit valid for 12 months toward a future booking.
• Booking a date via deposit does not constitute a complete catering agreement. A separate written agreement confirming menu, guest count, location, and final pricing will be provided before the event.
• We reserve the right to decline a catering inquiry for any reason, in which case the full deposit will be refunded within 5–7 business days. This is the sole circumstance under which a deposit refund is issued.

4. Pickup Policy

• Pickup address is provided directly to you via the phone number on your order after your order is confirmed. The address is not publicly published.
• Orders should be picked up within the time window communicated to you. We are not responsible for food quality if pickup is delayed beyond that window.
• Cash-at-Pickup No-Shows: If you selected Cash at Pickup and fail to collect your order without prior notice, the full order amount becomes an outstanding balance owed to Very Ghood. This balance must be paid in full before you are permitted to place any future order. We reserve the right to decline service until the balance is cleared.
• Online-Payment No-Shows: If you paid online and do not pick up your order, the order is considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued. See Section 5.

5. Refund Policy

All sales are final. There are absolutely no refunds. By purchasing from Very Ghood — whether online or in cash — you expressly agree that no refund will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to: change of mind, order not picked up, dissatisfaction with an item, or any other reason.

The sole exception is a refund explicitly authorized by Chef Rose in writing. A refund is only valid if accompanied by a written receipt of authorization issued directly by Very Ghood. Verbal agreements, text messages, or third-party claims do not constitute authorization for a refund.

Two additional narrow exceptions apply by operation of these Terms only:

• Declined catering inquiry: If Very Ghood declines your catering booking, the $250 deposit is refunded in full as described in Section 3.
• Item unavailable after payment: If a menu item becomes unavailable after your online payment has been processed and no suitable substitution is agreed upon, a refund for that specific item only will be issued.

Catering cancellation credits (Section 3) are not refunds — they are booking credits applied to future events.

6. Agreement to These Terms

By completing a purchase — whether online or in cash — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. This agreement is formed at the moment of purchase and applies to every transaction. No separate signature is required.

7. Food Allergen Disclaimer

Our kitchen prepares a variety of foods that may contain or come into contact with common allergens including but not limited to: tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, shellfish, and fish. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free of allergens. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, it is your responsibility to contact us before ordering. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

8. Menu Availability

All menu items are subject to availability. We reserve the right to modify the menu, pricing, available sides, or operating days at any time without prior notice. If a menu item becomes unavailable after your online payment is processed, we will contact you to offer a substitution. If no substitution is agreed upon, a refund for that specific item will be issued per Section 5.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use this site for any unlawful purpose
• Place fraudulent orders or provide false information
• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the site's operation
• Reproduce or resell any content from this site without written permission

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including the Very Ghood name, Chef Rose branding, logo, menu content, and photography — is owned by or licensed to Very Ghood and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Very Ghood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a menu order shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific order. Our total liability for catering-related claims shall not exceed the catering deposit paid.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Jackson County, Missouri.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
